Mr. Igor Ostrowski
Igor Ostrowski is a partner in Dentons’ Warsaw office. He is the legacy head of Salans’ Intellectual Property, Technology, and Communications practice. He currently serves as head of TMT Sector Group in Europe. He has twenty years of experience in legal advisory for clients from the telecommunication, media, and new technologies sector. Igor is one of the first lawyers in Poland to specialize in laws regulating the telecom sector, operators of media, and use of new technologies.
He has provided legal services to leading European and US radio and television broadcasters and advised international telecommunications network operators and IT companies on key areas of their business activities in Poland and elsewhere in Central and Eastern Europe, including corporate, regulatory, and intellectual property issues. He combines a wealth of experience gained in international law firms (including Warsaw and New York offices) and public administration. His experience includes advice on mergers and acquisitions and participation in infrastructure and privatization projects.
Between 2009 and 2013 Igor was deputy minister in the Ministry of Administration and Digitization and was a member of the Team of Strategic Advisors of the Prime Minister. He co-authored the Digital Poland strategy. Since June 2014 he has been chairman of the Digitization Council, an advisory body to the Polish Government. He is also the only Polish member of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group at the Internet Governance Forum –– a United Nations agency handling issues of operation, order, and development of the Internet worldwide.
