H.E. Marek Gróbarczyk
Marek Gróbarczyk was born on March 13, 1968 in Nowy Sącz. He is an engineer and manager and served as the minister of maritime economy in Jarosław Kaczyński’s government.
He graduated from the Faculty of Marine Power Plant Operation at the Maritime University in Gdynia and completed post-graduate studies in digital telecommunications at the University of Technology and Agriculture in Bydgoszcz; he also completed a wide range of specialist courses in management and finance. He served as an officer on Western shipping companies’ vessels and worked in transport and construction companies. He also held executive positions in a number of commercial companies. He currently serves as the minister of maritime economy and inland navigation for the Republic of Poland.
In the European Parliament, he worked in the Committee on Industry, Research, and Energy and the Delegation for relations with the People’s Republic of China.
